RR: February 2003 #1 contribute to report > With the start time held to about 5:40 about 38 riders gathered at the cement foundation in the middle of Loring Park, Minneapolis. Cabin Fever Relief was in the air. It was a balmy 36 degrees.
Three riders left from the park and headed south. The Mass went immediately North and West towards Hennipen and made a LEFT to head south on Hennipen. The Mass took the streets of Lyndale and Hennipen
And the little mass that could started taking cars on Lyndale and Hennipen, Four lanes, that's but 8 riders a lane...
The mass mixed in with the cagers and right below some Live in Peace supporters on the bridge between Loring Park and The Sculpture Garden (which sounds nice, but it's surrounded by 8-10 lanes - the exhaust is extensive)...
in fact i'm feeling a bit dizzy... spinning spinning out of control... losing focus
the reflectors awake me!
and we're all down in Uptown, taking a left on Lake @ Hennipen...
ok, this is the weakest weak-ass lift you'll ever see. Right above this text, what, 6 maybe 8 inches (I know, that's what all us guys say) but that's about it, I can only hope my memory is correct and I was late on the shot and this is in fact the end of the so-called "lift", because if this is the beginning, oh goodness I think we'll need to have a special meeting and develop a training plan for how to execute a bike lift.
