Here is the Money Report For The april pirate ride ARRRRRGH!

The Metamucil Jar of Justice was THRILLED to have seen all of the folks that cameout on Friday to join in our ride! Although the 'can' only saw about 7minutes of daylight it commented on the prospects of the ride; "There are alot of people here! I cant wait to get going and help make this a nice fluid moving mass."

When the Metamucil Jar of Justice showed up it only had $60.86 in its possession. Now after the ride the 'Can' contains $192.75. This coupled with the donation with its 2nd cousin from the Chicago Critical Mass 'Cigar Box of Justice' of $150.00 the Minnesota Critical Mass legal fund has $342.75. With the upcoming dates on payment and court dates from the March ride the 'Can' is ready to depart with some of the money to help defray the costs.

"We have to discuss what we are going to do with the money. We also have three Mexican Pesos that will go to the cause as well. I just am a little attached to the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state quarters that are in the fund. Hopefully we can trade those in to get the whole collection. If you bring money to the next mass bring some of those state quarters! We only have 2 in the collection. But, other than that I think we have a good starting point for Justice." Stated the Metamucil Jar of Justice at a Friday night press conference.

The jar also offered its opinions on the ride, "The pirate flags were great! I am a little concerned with people riding into the oncoming lane at full speed and then applying their brakes and scaring the crap out of the drivers. I am the one that should be scaring the crap out of people. This fund was set up to fight the abuses of the Minneapolis Police Department. It will continue to do that, but if tickets are given for someone's stupidity there will be a discussion about the allocation of funds to that individual. I fight the good fight. I think one side of the road is great and the red light thing is fine too as long as we have the amount of people we did last month. But, this other....." The Metamucil Jar of Justice then was removed from the press conference by the treasurer sighting the 'cans' personal beliefs are not the feelings of the entire mass. The treasurer left by stating "That is what makes the mass great. The 'Can' gets a little fiesty some times. It just needs a little water to get that out of its system."

The official book looks like this: 60.86 (from March) 150.00 (from Chicago Critical Mass) 134.89 (from donations at April Ride)

If anyone needs money to pay for the upcoming tickets the Tresurer can be reached at djitch@hotmail.com, but does request that money decisions be based on a conversation on the critical mass list serve or at a meeting.

If you need short term relief the jar once again stated, "Go to you local pharmacists and ask for the real stuff not the Target brand."
